Easter Egg Hunt

Alongside all of the usual activities that your children take part in, they have had lots of fun during our Easter Egg Hunt. The children have visited the woodland area at the top of the Primary School, where they had to search for clues hidden amongst the trees – photos of Spring/Easter images. They each had a sheet with a picture of each image and a pencil to mark-off the pictures once they had found them in the woods.  For some children this was quite a difficult challenge to begin with, but with support from the teachers, they soon learnt the concept and began to independently search for the pictures in the woods.  They were very excited when they found a clue and matched it to a picture on their sheet.

The teachers talked to them about the beautiful, bright colours in the images and how in Spring the warming weather helps to produce new life in our lovely natural environment. There are some gorgeous daffodils that the children noticed and compared to the daffodils on their sheets.  This all helped with the children’s observational skills and noticing similarities and differences in their environment.

Once they returned from finding the clues, they were very excited to be greeted by a yummy Easter egg left by the Easter Bunny.

End of term

Don’t forget we finish for the Easter holidays tomorrow, Friday 1st April, returning on Tuesday 19th April (the Primary School is closed on this day, but we are open).
