Our Apple Tree Adventure
This week, the children had a wonderful time exploring the world of orchards and apple trees! Together, we created our very own apple tree, decorating it with bright red and green apples that the children made themselves. They were so proud to see the tree come to life with their creativity.
As we worked, we talked about what an orchard is, how apples grow, and the different colours and tastes they can have. They learned new vocabulary such as orchard”, “fruit”, “apple tree”, “pick”, “ripe”, “branches” The children enjoyed sharing their own experiences of picking apples or seeing fruit trees, They had a trip to the forest to collect sticks for there tree and it was lovely to hear their excitement and curiosity.
Through this activity, the children developed their creativity, fine motor skills, and understanding of the natural world. Most importantly, they had lots of fun working together and celebrating their tree as a group achievement.
We’re looking forward to more adventures learning about the world around us!
