We Made Our Own Butter! 🧈✨

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week at preschool we had lots of fun getting hands-on in the kitchen 🧑‍🍳✨ as the children made their very own butter using a small butter churn 🧈

The children took turns churning the cream and were fascinated as they watched it slowly change. There were lots of excited faces, curious questions, and strong arms at work 💪😄 We talked about where butter comes from, how food changes, and what we use butter for at home.

The best part? Tasting time! 😋

The children were so proud to try the butter they had made themselves, and many were keen to give it a go – a lovely confidence boost and a great sensory experience 🌟

Activities like this support learning through play, encouraging curiosity, turn-taking, communication, and exploration of the world around us 🌍💬

A big well done to all our little butter makers – they did an amazing job! 👏💛
