This week’s activity

Litter picking

We teach the children about the importance of the wider world, the value of nature and our responsibility to take care of it.  We hope that we will be able to instill in the children a lifelong habit of respect and care for not only their own environment and possessions, but also those of other people and other communities.  We have been taking the children on little walks around the School grounds litter picking.  You would be surprised at the amount of rubbish that builds up in the School! The children collected a variety of items and when they returned, they looked at what type of items they were and whether they needed to go straight in the black bin (non-recyclable) or could be recycled.  They found this information by looking at the symbols on the packages.
