🧼👐 Learning About Clean Hands! 👐🧼

Some of our new starters have been finding it a little tricky when it’s time to wash our hands before eating, after messy play and throughout the day. So, we decided to turn handwashing into a fun learning activity! 😊

The children helped us make our very own hands using gloves and added funny faces and emojis to them. We then took our made hands on an adventure around preschool! 👐👀

We played, explored and touched different things just as we would during a normal preschool day, and then we had a look at our hands to see how much dirt they had picked up. 😮

The children could see how dirty our hands can become even when they don’t always look dirty. This gave us a great opportunity to talk about why we need to wash our hands properly with soap and water to get rid of germs and help keep ourselves and our friends healthy. 🧼💦

We had lots of fun washing our special hands and talking about when, why and how we wash our hands. It was a lovely, hands-on way to help make handwashing less daunting and more enjoyable for our children. ❤️

🌟 A little reminder for parents: If your child is feeling poorly or has needed Calpol in the morning, please keep them at home until they are feeling better. This helps your child recover and helps protect all the children and staff at preschool.
