This week at preschool, we have been getting creative while learning all about shapes in our environment!

The children have been looking around our rooms and outside for different shapes and patterns, spotting circles, squares, rectangles and more. We have also been practising drawing around shapes and patterns and seeing how many we can find in our everyday surroundings. Some of the children said, “look a half circle” a rectangle “it’s like a door” and others identified a Triangle and a door.

We are also starting to talk about our homes and our families. We will be exploring how every family and home can be different, while also finding the things that are the same.

We would love your help!

If you can, please send us a photo of your house and the people and pets who live in your home.

The children can then share their pictures with their friends and talk about their families, homes and the people who are special to them. This will help us celebrate how every family is unique and special.
