🌾👰🤵 This Week at Pre-School: The Scarecrows’ Wedding! 🐦🌻

We’ve had a lovely week inspired by The Scarecrows’ Wedding book! 📖💛 The children really enjoyed listening to the story and talking about the characters and what happens. some of the things the children said “It needs some legs.” “It’s Betty, they get a dress, then they get a rings, then they get married.” “We need bells.” “We need straw like this” pointing to the straw in the book. “ We do need a feather its first on the list.” “Make a list of what we need”

We got creative making our very own scarecrows 🎨🧵 using different materials, and the children loved designing their own mini scarecrows to take home 🧑‍🌾✨

The children raced around the preschool to find all the things they needed. Bringing in the bells from the garden.

We also had some great discussions about what scarecrows are for and how they help protect crops 🌽🐦—lots of brilliant ideas and curiosity!

“Because the birds will eat the plants”

To finish the week, we spent time in the garden 🌱🪴, doing a little planting and exploring nature, just like real farmers!
