A walk to the Apple Orchard Adventure!

Dear Families,

This week we went on a delicious adventure!

To celebrate the season, the children visited a local apple orchard to pick fresh apples straight from the trees! After our orchard trip, we’ll return to preschool to make our very own homemade apple crumble — a tasty treat we can all enjoy together.

We’ll be learning all about where our food comes from, exploring the orchard, and using our picked apples to cook a delicious crumble together. Counting spoonful’s scoops of ingredient’s and using cups, spoons and scales to introduce volume and weight. the children will be using their fine motor skills to peal and chop the apples and learn about the changes to the food once its cooked.  It will be a fun, hands on week full of learning, laughter, and lovely smells!
